The conversation between actors and two young men takes us into a reality that is linked by one fate: Bilal came to Europe on a death boat and Ammar is on a hopeless search for his brother, who got lost in the Mediterranean Sea. While the two exiles build a new life in Germany, homesickness and melancholy determines their everyday life. Between male tenderness in the refugee camp and an impossible search for an apartment, their experience finally culminates in a theatre play, that they help shape: in the play a couple receives the last call from their son, who is boarding a refugee boat. An endless struggle between loss, powerlessness and hope begins. "Taste of Salt" dives deep into the state of mind that connects many exiles in Europe.
